Consider approving Resolution No. 2024-080 canvassing and declaring the election results of the May 4, 2024, Special Bond Election; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch held a Special Bond Election on May 4, 2024, for the issuance of $8,000,000 general obligation bonds in the following manner:
Proposition A: $500,000 for the Economic Development Fund
Proposition B: $2,000,000 for the Branch Connection
Proposition C: $5,500,000 for City Water infrastructure
The tabulation of votes cast to be canvassed for the Special Bond Election is shown below:
Proposition A passed, receiving 54.85% of the votes.
Proposition B passed, receiving 53.50% of the votes.
Proposition C passed, receiving 70.06% of the votes.
By approving Resolution No. 2024-080, this action will officially canvass the election results of the May 4, 2024, Special Bond Election.
