Title
Consider approving Resolution No. 2024-220 authorizing an agreement with Honeywell International, Inc. for the purchase of US Digital Designs G2 Fire Station Alerting Systems and implementation services, utilizing a cooperative purchasing agreement with the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) in the amount of $157,116.40; and take appropriate action.

Body
BACKGROUND:
The City operates three fire stations equipped with Fire Station Alerting systems that communicate with the North Texas Emergency Communications Center (NTECC) for dispatching fire stations and apparatus. These systems, originally purchased in 2015, are now approaching the end of their lifecycle. The hardware is showing signs of wear and has experienced recent failures, leading to delayed calls for service notifications. While it did not impact our Fire Department's service, it raised concerns leading to a pressing need to replace the systems.

DISCUSSION:
NTECC and its member cities have standardized the US Digital Designs G2 Fire Station Alerting System by Honeywell, making it the sole option for ensuring seamless integration with dispatch.
Fire Station Alerting is critical to the Fire Department's operation and heavily impacts response times and situational awareness. Due to the age of the hardware and the instability of the systems, it is strongly recommended that these critical systems be replaced. The Innovation & Technology Department recommends procuring the replacement hardware and associated installation services directly from Honeywell International, Inc., through the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) purchasing cooperative. This approach ensures direct collaboration with the vendor and priority installation by a certified integrator.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted funds approved as part of the 2024-2025 budget.
