Consider approving Resolution No. 2025-074 canvassing and declaring the election results of the May 3, 2025, City of Farmers Branch General Election for City Councilmember District 1 and District 4, issue Certificates of Election; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch held a General Election on May 3, 2025, to elect a member of the City Council for District 1 and District 4. Resolution No. 2025-074 officially canvases the election results. The candidates receiving a majority of votes are as follows:
District 1, City Councilmember: Omar Roman received 63.39% of the votes cast
District 4, City Councilmember: Elizabeth Villafranca received 56.38% of the votes cast
Having received a majority of the votes cast with 63.39%, Candidate Omar Roman has been declared duly elected City Councilmember for District 1.
Having received a majority of the votes cast with 56.38%, Candidate Elizabeth Villafranca has been declared duly elected City Councilmember for District 4.
