BACKGROUND:
During the January 24, 2017, Study Session, City Council received a presentation from staff regarding bulky collection options for households that frequently set bulk material out for collection outside of the allowable time period stipulated in the City ordinance. After seeking clarification from staff and discussing the options, City Council asked the Sustainability Committee to assess persistent bulky issue(s) and report back to Council. The Committee has assessed different options for reporting and collecting bulk material set outs and brush diversion options. The Committee will present these options to City Council for consideration.
