BACKGROUND:
Since Joya Park opened in January 2024, traffic flow and parking in and around Joya Park have been challenging for patrons using the park and the citizens living in the adjacent neighborhood. Parks staff has added temporary no-parking signs along Tom Field Road between Valley View Lane and Rawhide Parkway to deter parking along the road and direct patrons to utilize the parking at Oran Good Park.
DISCUSSION:
The draft ordinance presented by staff at the study session will update the no parking zone Ordinance 82-95, providing a permanent solution to parking along Tom Field Road. If directed by the City Council, the draft ordinance would be placed on a future agenda for consideration.
