Consider Board and Commission appointments and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
As terms expire and vacancies arise, City Council members may make appointments to fill any open positions on Boards and Commissions.
DISCUSSION:
Community Watch Committee - With the resignation of Steven Morrison and Rena Herod there are two (2) vacancies on the Community Watch Committee. To date no applications have been received to fill this vacancy. City Administration is currently seeking applications for this Committee. Anyone interested in serving on the Committee is encouraged to submit an application for appointment to a Board and Commission, along with a Background Check Consent Form, to the City Secretary.
Family Advisory Board - There are currently two (2) vacancies on the Family Advisory board, which shall be filled by children who are older than twelve (12) years of age but who have not yet completed the 12th grade of high school (or its equivalent if the child is home schooled). City Administration is currently seeking applications. Anyone interested in serving on this Board is encouraged to submit an application for appointment to a Board and Commission, along with a Background Check Consent Form, to the City Secretary.
North Dallas Water Supply Corporation - The terms for two (2) of the City’s representatives serving on the North Dallas Water Supply Corporation have expired. Gary Greer and Charles Cox currently serve on the committee and wish to continue serving.
Animal Shelter Advisory Committee - The terms for three (3) of those serving on the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee will expire in April. Heather O’Hara and Lib Grimmett have submitted applications to serve on this board. Gerald Pendery, Becky Fisher, and Louise Henning currently serve in those positions and wish to continue serving.
