Discuss selection of Charter Review Committee.

BACKGROUND:
Section 9.20 of the City's charter requires that prior to the first day of July of each year ending in "3" or "8" the City Council shall appoint a committee for the purpose of determining whether amendments to the Charter are needed.
DISCUSSION:
The committee shall include no fewer than one (1) representative from every voting precinct in the City, unless the precinct includes fewer than one-hundred (100) registered voters, in which case the precinct would be combined with one or more contiguous City precincts. There are twelve (12) precincts in Farmers Branch, two of which contain less than one-hundred (100) registered voters.
Precinct 2308 has 19 registered voters and Precinct 2312 has 70 registered voters. This allows Precinct 2308 to be combined with Precincts 2309 or 2302; Precinct 2312 can be combined with Precinct 2310.
Attached is a list submitted by the City Council of citizens to serve on the Charter Review Committee.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends members of the City Council appoint one (1) representative from every voting precinct in the City.
