Consider adopting Ordinance No. 3224 amending the City of Farmers Branch Code of Ordinances, Chapter 82, Traffic and Vehicles, Article II, Division 6, Section 82-95, amending No Parking Zones on portions of Longmeade Drive and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
At the request of the Police Department for no parking signs to be enforceable in an area along Longmeade Drive, City Administration conducted a field review and determined vehicles parked in the area along the north and south sides of Longmeade Drive, east of its intersection with Golfing Green Drive, blocks visibility of oncoming eastbound and westbound traffic.
DISCUSSION:
The area has been reviewed by the City's traffic consultant and he is in agreement there is a visibility issue and warrants No Parking signs be installed.
This item is consistent with Core Value No. 1 providing safety and security for citizens, visitors and businesses through progressive public safety programs.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends adopting Ordinance No. 3224 amending the City of Farmers Branch Code of Ordinances, Chapter 82, Traffic and Vehicles, Article II, Division 6, Section 82-95, amending No Parking Zones on portions of Longmeade Drive.
