Consider approving Resolution 2014-010 awarding a unit price contract for the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Pavement Marking Project to Road Master Striping, LLC and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department desires to award a unit price contract to Road Master Striping, LLC for the 2013-2014 Pavement Marking Project. Unit prices for this award will be through cooperative purchasing using an inter-local agreement with the City of Midlothian. This contract has options for three additional 1-year renewals.
DISCUSSION:
Road Master Striping, LLC has performed similar projects for the City in the past and has performed to the satisfaction of City Administration. Funds in the amount of $73,000 are available in the Public Works operating budget for this project.
This contract is related to Core Value #5 which is to provide functional, sustainable, and well maintained infrastructure, facilities and equipment.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends adopting Resolution No. 2014-010 awarding a unit price contract for the Pavement Marking Project to Road Master Striping, LLC.
ACTIONS:
1) Motion to approve Resolution No.2014-010 awarding a unit price contract for the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Pavement Marking Project to Road Master Striping, LLC.
2) Motion to deny Resolution No. 2014-010 awarding a unit price contract for the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Pavement Marking Project to Road Master Striping, LLC.
3) Motion to modify to meet the needs of the Council.
4) Motion to table the issue for further study or take no action.
