Body
BACKGROUND:
The Farmers Branch Fire Department was awarded a Texas Department of State Health Services 2014 EMS Local Projects Grant Award of $2,450 to purchase a vehicle extraction rescue tool. The Fire Department has received a Contract Pricing Worksheet from the HGACBuy governmental purchasing cooperative to purchase a HURST eDraulic Combi Rescue Tool for $10,734. The HURST eDraulic Combi Rescue Tool is used to extricate patients who are trapped in their vehicle as a result of a Motor Vehicle Accident. The new eDraulic Combi Rescue Tool will be assigned to Quint 133 and will replace a well-used 10 year old gas powered rescue tool.
