BACKGROUND:
The FY2013-2014 Fixed Asset Fund includes painting the interior of City Hall. City Hall is 25 years old and has not been painted or updated. This project supports Core Value #5 and is part of the long term Building Revitalization Program.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Farmers Branch requested a quotation from the Buy Board Purchasing Cooperative. City Administration evaluated the quotation as to meeting specifications and desire to award the interior painting of City Hall to GFC Contracting.
The FY2013-14 budget amount for this project is $110,000. The quotation came in under budget by $72.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approving the interior painting of City Hall by GFC Contracting through the Buy Board Purchasing Cooperative budgeted in the FY2013-14 City Budget.
ACTIONS:
1) Motion to approve Resolution No. 2014-047 authorizing the City Manager to approve the interior painting of City Hall in the total amount of $109,928.
2) Motion to deny Resolution No. 2014-047 authorizing the City Manager to approve the interior painting of City Hall in the total amount of $109,928.
3) Motion to modify to meet the needs of the Council.
4) Motion to table the issue for further study or take no action.
