Consider approving Resolution No. 2014-084 authorizing an interlocal agreement for coordinated public health services with Dallas County and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The City has maintained a health services contract with the Dallas County Health Department since 1984. The agreement ensures that Dallas County will provide the following health services to Farmers Branch residents:
· Immunization services for Farmers Branch residents available five days per week at 2774 Valwood Parkway (old Justice of the Peace building located near the Senior Center) in Farmers Branch;
· A well child clinic three days per month at 2774 Valwood Parkway;
· A senior citizens clinic one day per month at the Senior Center, 14055 Dennis Lane; and
· Communicable disease control and laboratory health services at 2377 N. Stemmons Freeway in Dallas.
DISCUSSION:
The current interlocal agreement with Dallas County expired on September 30, 2014. Renewing the agreement with Dallas County will allow for services during the 2014-15 fiscal year.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended motion by City Administration to authorize an interlocal agreement for coordinated public health services with Dallas County.
