BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department is requesting the use of a Cooperative Purchasing Interlocal Agreement with the City of Grand Prairie for the unit price purchase of recycling in place, full depth asphalt streets. Reynolds Asphalt and Construction Company is under contract for providing this service to the City of Grand Prairie.
The streets placed on the Recycle in Place list were approved and funded by the 2014-2015 Capital Improvement Project Street Improvement Bond Fund.
This item is consistent with Core Value No. 5, providing functional, sustainable, and well maintained infrastructure, facilities and equipment.
DISCUSSION:
The Recycled in Place Project will include:
Farmers Branch Lane - Denton Drive to Josey Lane
Spring Valley Lane - Josey Lane to Valwood Parkway
Springlake Road - I-35 Service Rd. to beginning of concrete paving
Chaparral Drive - Templeton Trail to Rockmartin Drive
Havenhurst Street - Dennis Lane to McClintock Drive
Mapledale Circle - Mapledale Circle to Mapledale Drive
Mapledale Drive - Keyport Drive to Ridgeoak Way
Sunbeck Circle - Josey Lane to Josey Lane
Lost Valley Lane - Brookhollow Lane to End
Spur Trail - Brookhollow Lane to Webb Chapel Road
City Administration will notify residents along these roadways and hold public meetings as necessary to outline the scope and schedule before each segment of this project begins.
