BACKGROUND:
As requested by the City Council, City Administration will present an overview of the updated master plan for the zoning district surrounding the DART station and outline potential public and private sector projects, with a specific emphasis on areas north of Valley View Lane.
DISCUSSION:
In 2012, the City approved a revised Master Plan for Planned Development District No. 86. This revised plan provided more opportunity for one and two story buildings as well as new residential development opportunities north of Valley View Lane. In addition, City Administration has reviewed the physical conditions along the DART rail corridor and identified some specific areas that have opportunity for potential landscaping improvements which would improve the appearance of this section of the City.
