BACKGROUND:
The FY2014-15 Fixed Asset Fund for vehicle/equipment replacement includes one replacement sewer jet mount for the Public Works Utilities Division. The equipment being replaced meets the recommended replacement criteria based on life cycle costs, age, and utilization and supports the City of Farmers Branch Infrastructure and Asset Guiding Principle.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Farmers Branch requested a quotation from the Buy Board Purchasing Cooperative. City Administration evaluated the quotation as to meeting specifications and desire to award the purchase of the replacement equipment to Texas Underground.
There is $70,000 in the FY2014-15 budget for this equipment. The quotation came in $7,541 under the anticipated budgeted amount. The quotation included $8,000 trade in for the City's 2007 sewer jet mount.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended motion by City Administration to approve Resolution No. 2015-034 authorizing the purchase of one replacement sewer jet mount for the Public Works Utilities Division from Texas Underground through the Buy Board Purchasing Cooperative.
