Consider adopting Ordinance No. 3396 amending the City of Farmers Branch Code of Ordinances, Chapter 82, Traffic and Vehicles, Article II, Division 6, Section 82-95, establishing a No Parking zone on the 2200 block of Delegate Drive; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
City Administration has received a letter of complaint regarding parking issues along the 2200 block of Delegate Drive. The 2200 block of Delegate Drive is east of Diplomat Drive to its terminus. It has been reported that trucks are parking and maintaining their equipment on city streets and creating parking congestion along this section of Delegate Drive.
Valwood Service Center Partnership, owners of the property located 13988 Diplomat Drive have requested that on street parking be prohibited along the entire section of Delegate Drive from Diplomat Drive east to the end (cul-de-sac). The parking prohibition will improve site visibility entering and exiting their business onto Delegate Drive. This prohibition would also prevent the nuisances of commercial vehicles from maintaining their equipment within public city streets.
DISCUSSION:
City Administration finds it in the public's interest and safety to install no parking signs along the entire section of the 2200 block of Delegate Drive, from Diplomat Drive east to its terminus.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends adopting Ordinance No. 3396 amending the City of Farmers Branch Code of Ordinances, Chapter 82, Traffic and Vehicles, Article II, Division 6, Section 82-95, establishing a No Parking zone on the 2200 block of Delegate Drive.
