Consider Board and Commission Emeritus appointments; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The position of Board Emeritus was created to allow long time board members to resign from their position and still have the ability to remain actively involved as an Ex Officio member. Long time board members typically have a wealth of experience and knowledge and can continue to serve and offer great value to the City.
DISCUSSION:
Ron Doerler recently termed out after serving for nearly 30 years on the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board. Patsy Mayo also recently termed out after serving nearly 17 years. The Historical Preservation and Restoration Board unanimously voted to recommend Ron Doerler and Patsy Mayo as Board Members Emeritus for the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board.

POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve appointing Ron Doerler and Patsy Mayor as Board Emeritus Members for the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board.
2. I move to approve appointing Ron Doerler and Patsy Mayor as Board Emeritus Members for the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board, with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
