BACKGROUND:

 

The applicant, Z. Makahni, is requesting an amendment to an existing Specific Use Permit, (See Ordinance 3326). The City Council approved this Ordinance on June 16, 2015. The Ordinance rezoned the property from PD-88, “Commerce” subdistrict to “Urban Center” subdistrict to allow multi-family residential as well as granting a SUP for a hotel use. The amendment request is to reduce the height of the Limited Service hotel from 5 stories to 4 stories, increase the number of rooms from 100 to 120, and revise the associated Site Plan.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

On January 23rd the Planning & Zoning Commission voted to recommend approval of this amended Specific Use Permit and associated Site Plan as described in Ordinance No. 3421
