Title

Receive a presentation of the Police Traffic Stop Data Analysis Report for calendar year 2016, as required by the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures, Section 2.132

 

Body

BACKGROUND:

Article 2.132 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures requires the annual reporting to the governing body of data collected on individuals stopped and issued citations, or arrested by the Police Department.

 

This year the Professional Development Institute from the University of North Texas was contracted to conduct a comprehensive analysis of this data as well as the Farmers Branch Police Departments policies, training, and procedures as it pertains to racial profiling.

 

The Chief of Police will make a presentation on the report.
