BACKGROUND:
The City Secretary accepts applications throughout the year to fill vacant Board and Commission openings. Once a background check has been completed, submitted applications are kept on file for one year. As vacancies arise, City Council members may choose to make appointments to fill open positions(s).
DISCUSSION:
Currently, the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board has three (3) vacancies for Place 2, Place 9, and Place 10.
The City has received the following applications from citizens that wish to serve on the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board:
• Mary Ludwick
• Gail Cope
• Bill Stolp
The following applications have been kept on file in the City Secretaries office, should a vacancy arise:
• Sharon Aston
• Lou Ann Cross
• Sharon Evans
• Dawn Ramos (Family Advisory Board)
• Shirley Shaffer
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends appointing three members to serve on the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board, in Place 2 for a term expiring 6/30/19, Place 9 for an unexpired term ending 6/30/18 and Place 10 for a term expiring 6/30/19.

1. Move to appoint the following Board Members to the Historical Preservation & Restoration Board:

2. Move to take no action and seek more applicants.
