Consider accepting a donation of a scoreboard for Jaycee Park valued at $6,385 from the Carrollton - Farmers Branch Baseball Association to the Parks and Recreation Department; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The Carrollton - Farmers Branch Baseball Association (CFBBA) is the organization that serves the Farmer Branch residents for youth baseball. The association manages the league and the City provides the playing fields for the benefit of our residents.
DISCUSSION:
CFBBA is making a donation of a scoreboard valued at $6,385 to replace the old scoreboard. The generous donation demonstrates that CFBBA is an excellent community partner and we look forward to extending the relationship. The scoreboard will benefit our local residents and compliment the recently renovated playing field at Jaycee Park. Jason Sanders the CFBBA Vice President for Farmers Branch is in attendance at tonight’s meeting.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends accepting the donation of the scoreboard from CFBBA for the baseball field at Jaycee Park.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve the donation of a scoreboard from CFBBA.
2. I move to approve the donation of a scoreboard from CFBBA with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
