Consider approving Resolution No. 2017-061 authorizing the First Amended and Restated Professional Services Agreement with TRC Environmental Corporation for services relating to the waters of Farmers Branch Creek not to exceed $195,000; ratifying past actions of the City Manager and others; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
On or about January 22, 2014, the City Manager entered into a professional services agreement with TRC Environmental Corporation (TRC) to perform a flow study of Farmers Branch Creek. At the request of the City Manager, the TRC has performed additional consulting and engineering services with respect to Farmers Branch Creek related to the City's complaint to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regarding the Town of Addison's water rights permit regarding the impoundment of water of Farmers Branch Creek that were not contemplated in the original agreement.
DISCUSSION:
This contract amendment increases the scope of services that the firm provides and allows for potential engineering and consulting services should the Town of Addison continue to seek a permit amendment to the existing water rights permit.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approving Resolution No. 2017-061 amending the professional services contract with TRC Environmental in an amount not to exceed $195,000.

1. I move to approve Resolution No. 2017-061 approving the First Amended and Restated Professional Services Agreement with TRC Environmental Corporation for services related to the waters of Farmers Branch Creek not to exceed $195,000.
