Consider accepting a $4,756 grant from PetSmart Charities for city participation in the May National Adoption Weekend Event to be held May 5th through May 7th, 2017; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
PetSmart Charities, Inc. has awarded the City of Farmers Branch a grant of $4,756 for its future participation in the May National Adoption Weekend Event, May 5-7, 2017.
This event is to held at the PetSmart Store No. 6224 (6204 W. Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas) and will include participation of Tri-City Animal Shelter, City of Plano, and several other local animal adoption organizations. The goal that weekend is 60 additional adoptions. Adoption fee will be reduced to $25 for event. The funds will be used for marketing/advertising the Adoption Weekend Event on radio, as well as event equipment and supplies (large tent, tables, fencing, etc.).
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approval of the Master Support Agreement and acceptance of the grant from PetSmart Charities, Inc.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve the Master Support Agreement and accept the $4,756 grant from PetSmart Charities, Inc.
2. I move to approve the Master Support Agreement and accept the $4,756 grant from PetSmart Charities, Inc. ....., with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
