Title

Conduct a public hearing and consider approving Resolution No. 2017-073 for a Detailed Site Plan for Alta Luna, a multi-family residential community on an 8.791-acre site located at 1851 Knightsbridge Road; and take appropriate action.

Body

BACKGROUND:

The proposed 8.791-acre site is located approximately 650 feet east of Luna Road, within Planned Development District No. 88 (PD-88).

This proposed multi-family residential development was approved in September 2016 with the adoption of Ordinance No. 3390 amending the Planned Development District No 88 (PD-88). The amendment rezoned the 8.791-acre lot from “Commerce” subdistrict into a “Mid-Density Residential” subdistrict. The City also approved the Conceptual Site Plan for this development. This proposed Detailed Site Plan as described in the Resolution No. 2017-073 is consistent with the approved Conceptual Site Plan.

DISCUSSION:

The applicant (Wood Partners) is proposing to develop a new multi-family community (Alta Luna) consisting of 260 dwelling units. The Detailed Site Plan involves one (1) Special Exception.

RECOMMENDATION:

On May 8th, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Detailed Site Plan as described in the Resolution No. 2017-073.
