Consider approving Ordinance No. 3453 amending the number of members on the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
During the June 23, 2017 City Council retreat, City Council directed City Administration to bring forth an amendment to add one additional regular member to the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee.
DISCUSSION:
As proposed in Ordinance No. 3453, the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee would be amended to increase the board to eight (8) members:
o One Member be a licensed veterinarian
o One Member be a City Official
o One Member whose duties include Animal Shelter operations
o One Member be a representative from an Animal Welfare Organization
o Four Members be residents of Farmers Branch
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve Ordinance No. 3453, as presented.
2. I move to approve Ordinance No. 3453, with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
