Consider annual Board and Commission appointments; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
City Council conducts annual Board and Commission appointments to fill term vacancies. The City advertised throughout the community and held a Board and Commissions Recruitment event on May 9, 2017 at City Hall. The City invited board applicants to attend a Special Called City Council meeting to interview interested candidates on May 22, 2017. All applicants have completed and passed requirements to serve on a Board and Commission.
DISCUSSION:
The Library Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment and Building Code Board of Appeals, Parks and Recreation Board, Historical Preservation and Restoration Board, Senior Advisory Board, Community Watch Committee, Animal Shelter Advisory Committee, Municipal Drainage Board, and TIRZ Boards each have vacancies occurring this June 2017. City Council has interviewed, reviewed applications and created a slate list of candidates for each board.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends City Council appoint members to fill Board and Commission vacancies.
ACTIONS:
1) Motion to adopt the attached slate list.
2) Motion to amend the slate list and approve, as amended.
3) Motion to seek more applicants.
