BACKGROUND:
The City contracted with Dr. Alejandro Rodriguez, Interim Chair, Department of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Arlington, to conduct an analysis of the Manske Library and the service level it provides to comparable cities, other LS&S-run libraries, neighboring libraries, and high performing libraries in North Texas. Final analysis will look at the financial implications of this policy and what it has meant to the City of Farmers Branch. Following Dr. Rodriguez, Denise Wallace, Director of the Manske Library, will provide an update on trends in libraries and the direction libraries are moving.
