BACKGROUND:
Each year, the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association awards special honors to those cities that have created outstanding plans in several key categories. The City of Farmers Branch East Side Plan was named as the recipient of the 2017 Long Range Planning Award at the recent annual conference in Frisco. The East Side Plan was a joint effort of several consulting companies and coordinated by Interim Planning Director Alexis Jackson. The companies that contributed to the East Side Plan are la terra studio, Ideation Planning, Catalyst Commercial, Verdunity, CivicBrand, and Prologue Planning.
