BACKGROUND:
On November 28, 2017 City Council received a presentation on backyard chickens as well as a draft ordinance for discussion. Based on the discussion, the ordinance was revised and is presented to City Council for discussion. Some of the revisions are the removal of the registration requirement, an increase in the minimum number of hens from two to three, a reduction in the setback requirements, and the submission of a site plan, floor plan, and elevation along with the application.
