May is nationally recognized as Older Americans Month. This year’s theme is “Engage at Every Age.” The Senior Advisory Board and City Administration requests that City Council proclaim May as Older Americans Month in Farmers Branch. This proclamation can assist in public awareness outlining popular activities Americans can pursue regarding their leisure and volunteer interests.
DISCUSSION:
Some popular activities offered during the month of May at the Farmers Branch Senior Center include Monday Night Dances, a Texas Hold’em Tournament, Birthday Celebration Luncheon, AARP Smart Driver Course and a day trip to the 1:30 Theatre to see the play The Velocity of Autumn.
