BACKGROUND:
Gilead Sciences, Inc. would like to make a donation in the amount of $1,200 to the Parks and Recreation Department for the Farmers Branch Senior Center to sponsor the upcoming Chair Volleyball Tournament to be held at the Senior Center.
DISCUSSION:
This generous donation shows that Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a supporter of the Farmers Branch Senior Center and of those who participate.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends accepting the $1,200 donation from Gilead Sciences, Inc. for the Farmers Branch Senior Center and adjusting the year end budget accordingly.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve the $1,200 donation from Gilead Sciences, Inc.
2. I move to approve the $1,200 donation from Gilead Sciences, Inc. with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
