Consider accepting a donation for the Parks and Recreation Department in an amount of $1,043.27 from the Belt Family to be used for tree plantings; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The Belt Family would like to honor long time Farmers Branch resident Zell D. Graham by making a donation to enhance the location of her memorial bench in Rawhide Park across from the Manske Library. Trees will be planted in the fall to provide shade and seasonal interest.
DISCUSSION:
The area in Rawhide Park is a place that has fond memories for the family and it is their hope that the trees will enhance the experience for others as they enjoy the park.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends accepting the $ 1,043.27 donation from the Belt Family for the planting of trees by and to adjust the year end budget accordingly.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve the $ 1,043.27 donation from the Belt Family.
2. I move to approve the $ 1,043.27 donation from the Belt Family, with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
