BACKGROUND:
The Census is used to help determine where to locate public services, facilities such as schools, day care centers, senior citizen centers, hospitals, fire and police stations, and is used by the private sector in making decisions concerning business growth and jobs.
DISCUSSION:
The United States Census Bureau is requesting approval of Resolution No. 2018-59, supporting the U.S. Census Bureau 2020.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends the City Council approve Resolution No. 2018-59, as presented.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve Resolution No. 2018-59, as presented.
2. I move to approve Resolution No. 2018-59, with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
