Consider accepting a donation for the Parks and Recreation Department in an amount of $1,100 to be used for a memorial park bench; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The children of Tom and Dorothy Sultzbaugh would like to honor their parents with a memorial bench in Rawhide Park near the playground. Pam Parr-Batts, Bill Sultzbaugh, Rick Sultzbaugh and Shelly Bledsoe all have fond memories of family times at Rawhide Park. It is their hope that the bench will enhance the experience for others as they enjoy the park.
DISCUSSION:
This donation will provide for a City in the Park memorial bench in Rawhide Park near the playground. This location will not interfere with any future plans.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends accepting the $1,100 donation from Pam Parr-Batts, Bill Sultzbaugh, Rick Sultzbaugh and Shelly Bledsoe for the installation of a memorial bench by Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Department and to adjust the year end budget accordingly.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve the $1,100 donation.
2. I move to approve the $1,100 donation with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
