Continued discussion regarding Nonprofit Organizational Funding Requests.

BACKGROUND:
As a continuation of the budget process in relation to nonprofit organizational funding requests from July 17th, the funding matrix has been updated. To build the updated matrix:
• Staff followed Council’s direction and moved Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful funding to the Sustainability and Public Health departmental budget.
• Staff met with both Chambers of Commerce to better understand their funding requests and possible future changes in direction.
• Staff strived to meet the Council goal of keeping the budget as close as possible to or under $300,000. We got the budget line to $285,000 plus the $15,000 for KFBB; this gets us to exactly $300,000.
• Funding requests that Council supported were set at an amount equal to their funding request.
DISCUSSION:
Council will review the updated funding matrix for the nonprofit organizations and determine if there are any additional changes that need to be made.
