Receive Planning and Zoning Commission Quarterly Update presentation.

BACKGROUND:
The City Council directed various boards and commission to provide quarterly updates. These quarterly updates allow City Council to gain a better understanding of items that the boards and commissions are working on, and for the boards and commissions to seek direction from City Council related to any items.
DISCUSSION:
David Moore, Planning and Zoning Commission Chair, will present information related to:
• Accomplishments since the April 3, 2018 City Council update;
• Commission’s recommendation related to the IH-35 Corridor next steps;
• Upcoming 2018-19 work plan which aligns with City Council’s Strategic Initiatives, Critical Business Outcomes, and the proposed FY18-19 budget; and
• Other requested action items.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is concerned about being responsive to any items that the City Council desires for them to work on and producing results. Therefore, the Commission seeks direction regarding any items that City Council would like for them to work on, and/or if there is any particular direction the Commission should proceed related to a specific project/program.
