Consider approving Resolution No. 2018-94 authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for services with Metrocrest Services for a total amount of $205,000; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
As part of the FY 2018-19 budget process, Council received presentations from multiple nonprofit organizations about the impact they make on Farmers Branch as a result of their contract with the City. City Council initially discussed contract amounts during the July 17th Study Session and final direction was given to staff at the budget retreat. Because of the contract amount with Metrocrest Services, this is the only contract that is required to be brought back to Council for approval.
DISCUSSION:
While direction for this item was given through the budget process, all contracts over $50,000 must be brought back to Council for final approval. The contract amount with Metrocrest Services is $205,000 which requires this item to be part of the regular agenda. The supporting materials for this contract are attached which includes information about the work Metrocrest Services conducts in Farmers Branch and a draft copy of the contract for services in FY 2018-19.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The contract amount is already included as part of the approved FY 2018-19 budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
City administration recommends to approve the contract with Metrocrest Services as budgeted for in the FY 2018-19 budget.

1. I move to approve Resolution No. 2018-94 authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Metrocrest Services for a total amount of $205,000.
