Receive an update on Economic Development activity within and surrounding the Station Area

BACKGROUND:
The City Council requested an update highlighting recent and ongoing economic activities in the Station Area. The update will cover:
• Demolition rebuild applicants
• Retailer projects
• Townhome development
• Recent acquisitions
• City improvements
The City purchased the Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD Technology building on Carrick Street. The sale lease back will allow the City to continue develop land around the DART Station Area. The restaurant park retail leasing with Cox Farms Market and Cedar Creek Brewhouse and Eatery have created more interest for the inline retail spaces. The northeast corner of Valley View Lane and I-35 sold for Starbucks and Chipotle developments consistent with the Station Area form-based code.
