Discuss New Library Proposals and the Future of the Farmers Branch Library

BACKGROUND:
As part of the discussion for a new Farmers Branch library, an RFQ was released on December 13, 2018 with a due date of January 25, 2019. Four responses were received from Gensler, Hidell, LRK, and PGAL. All four responses meet the requirements set forth in the RFQ and have been reviewed by City staff and Library Board.
DISCUSSION:
This item will provide an opportunity for City Council to review the responses to the RFQ and discuss the future of the Farmers Branch library.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Coordinating the new Farmers Branch library discussion, including the RFQ, has not impacted the City’s budget.
