BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch updated and amended Chapter 18 of its Code of Ordinances, which regulates animals. Within this chapter of the code of ordinances are the regulations that define govern dangerous dogs. Recently, there has been a dangerous dog case that garnered public attention within the community. A presentation summarizing the regulations pertaining to dangerous animals will be presented. In addition, staff will present statistics regarding the number of dangerous animal cases and there outcomes.
