Consider approving Resolution No. 2019-050 authorizing an agreement with O'Brien Engineering, Inc. for professional, design services of the Farmers Branch Creek Erosion Projects; and take appropriate action

Body
BACKGROUND:
On June 19, 2018 Freese and Nichols presented to Council during Study Session, a project prioritization list for Farmers Branch Creek that was established during the creek study. From this list, the top eight projects affected or involved City facilities for which easements were in place for the maintenance of those facilities. Based on the ability to perform the needed erosion repairs without obtaining easements, City Council directed staff to move forward with the design and subsequent construction for the erosion repair projects.

The City has negotiated a professional services agreement with O'Brien Engineering for the design of improvements on the following sites from the priority list. Site E-8 (Rank 8) is located near Mustang Trails Park near the Valley View Lane and Templeton Trail Intersection; Site E-12 (Rank 2) is located near the 3100 block of Brookhollow Drive, south of the end of Lost Valley; Site E-20 (Rank 3) is located near the 2900 block of Maydelle Lane, north of the Veronica Road crossing; Site E-21 (Rank 4) is located near the 12200 Block of Treeview Lane, south of the Veronica Road crossing.
