City Council will conduct interviews with Board and Commission applicants

BACKGROUND:

Annually, the City Council appoints members to fill Board and Commission vacancies.  The City has advertised through the Branch Review, Branch Mail/eMail blast, Branch Bulletin eNewsletter, City website, and recruited at Farmers Branch Night Out to solicit applicants to participate and sign up to serve on a Board and Commission. 

 

DISCUSSION:

This year, the City had 44 board openings and received 56 applications to serve.  Applicants will have the opportunity to interview with City Council and briefly describe their interest and skills.  The City Council will take final action at the June 4, 2019 City Council meeting.
