BACKGROUND:
Annually, the City Council appoints members to fill Board and Commission vacancies. The City has advertised through the Branch Review, Branch Mail/eMail blast, Branch Bulletin eNewsletter, City website, and recruited at Farmers Branch Night Out to solicit applicants to participate and sign up to serve on a Board and Commission. The City has received over 54 applications, to date.
DISCUSSION:
The City currently has 44 board openings and received over 54 applications to serve. The City Council held Board and Commissions interviews on May 9, 2019 and will hold an executive session to interview Quasi-Judicial Boards.
After interviews, the City Council will have the opportunity to create a slate list. The City Council will take final action at the June 4, 2019 City Council meeting.
