Consider Board and Commission appointments; and take appropriate action (Historical Preservation & Restoration Board)

BACKGROUND:
With the resignation of Gail Cope, the Historical Preservation & Restoration Board has a vacancy for one (1) regular member. The alternate Kay Lynn Lyon would like to be appointed as a regular board member. With this change, a vacancy for one (1) alternate member exists.
DISCUSSION:
The City Council recently conducted interviews with applicants. Attached is the list of eligible applicants who wish to serve on a board and commission that may be considered by City Council to appoint as the new alternate.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends appointing one board member to fill Alternate Seat No. 1 on the Historical Preservation & Restoration Board, for a term expiring June 30, 2022.

ACTION:
1) Move to appoint Kay Lynn Lyon as a regular board member and __________to fill Alternate Seat No. 1 on the Historical Preservation & Restoration Board, for a term expiring June 30, 2022.
2) Move to take no action and seek more applicants to fill the vacancy.
