Recognition of Jose Ramirez for 15 years of dedicated service to the City of Farmers Branch

BACKGROUND:
Jose Ramirez started work for the City of Farmers Branch May 10, 2004. He was hired in as a Park Technician and worked on the irrigation crew. Jose proved to be a hard worker that learned new skills quickly. He works with enthusiasm and efficiently. Jose transitioned to and began working on a district crew to learn more about park and landscape maintenance. Jose was promoted to and Operator I on April 25, 2015. He mows and trims our parks operating large Mowing equipment. Jose works most of our special events and greets event goers with an infectious smile.
Jose has been involved in several high profile projects including the irrigation of the Rose Gardens, Community Garden, and has been on installation crews that have replaced many of our beautiful playgrounds. Currently Jose is a key team member working on the soon to be open Barney Wood Bark Park.
Jose and his wife Alicia live in Carrollton. Alicia is a clerk for the court in the Addison where she has worked for almost eight years. They have three sons, John graduated from Newman Smith High School and is currently serving our great country in the Marines stationed in North Carolina. Marco graduated from Newman Smith and works in shipping and receiving. Jose Jr. is a senior art Newman Smith and will graduate in 2020. Jose and his family enjoy camping, riding four-wheelers and playing at the lake.
