BACKGROUND:
Dallas County Election Administrator Toni Pippins-Poole will provide the City Council with an overview on the new universal voting software. This software allows registered voters to vote at any Dallas County polling location during early voting and on Election Day. Ms. Pippins-Poole will attend to provide an overview and answer any questions.
DISCUSSION:
Texas Election code §123.001 requires the governing body of a political subdivision to adopt by resolution the voting system to be used in its elections. The City Council will consider approving Resolution No. 2019-126, to utilize the new software for citywide elections.
