BACKGROUND:
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), a regional transportation authority, supports certain eligible Transit Enhancement projects via a Street Repair Program. Projects may include planning, environmental impact studies, engineering, final design, right-of-way acquisition, construction, testing, inspection, surveying and traffic control systems. The City identified and DART has verified eligible projects for all of Denton Road that is located within the municipal boundaries of Farmers Branch north and south of the Station Area.

DISCUSSION:
The City desires to enter into an Interlocal Agreement (Agreement) with DART for implementation of right-of-way survey and traffic counts for all of Denton Road that is located within the municipal boundaries of Farmers Branch north and south of the Station Area.

FISCAL IMPACT:
3. Unbudgeted Financial Impact - Funds available in DART's Street Repair program. DART will reimburse the City for eligible Project costs not to exceed $107,431.

RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approving Resolution No. 2019-154 authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Agreement with DART related to procurement and financial matters for implementation of approved City transit and active transportation projects, and amend the budget accordingly.
