Discuss direction received from TxDOT related to the betterments funding timeline.

BACKGROUND:
Staff is seeking clarification from TxDOT regarding the required timing for the funding of betterments, as TxDOT’s required payment schedule may impact the ability of Farmers Branch to fund certain betterments. Specifically we have inquired if:
• Funding for enhancements needs to be provided to TxDOT prior to the release of the design build RFP for the phase two expansion of IH-35E;
• Funding for enhancements needs to be provided to TxDOT at the time that the design build contract for the phase two expansion of the IH-35E contract is awarded; and/or
• Funding for enhancements can be provided at defined points in time throughout the construction process for the phase two expansion of the IH-35E.
ACTIONS:
Direct staff and the consultant, Kimley-Horn, related to the costing of Conceptual Plans based on the funding requirements of TxDOT.
