Consider approving Resolution No. 2020-136 authorizing the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Dallas County for Public Health Services, and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch contracts with Dallas County Health and Human Services provide certain public health services for the residents of Farmers Branch. The County will provide the following health services:
* Tuberculosis control services
* Sexually transmitted disease control services
* Communicable disease control services
* Laboratory services
* Immunizations
* Child health care
* High risk infant case management
* Home visits
The County charges a sliding-scale fee based on ability to pay to all residents of every municipality in Dallas County. The Fee Schedule is provided in Exhibit A. The cost to the City is based on historical caseloads and service cost. The County invoices the City on a monthly basis a percentage of the annual cost provided in agreement.
DISCUSSION:
The cost of this program is budgeted in the Environmental Health division. The cost of the program for Fiscal Year 20-21 is $6,856.00.

RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approving Resolution No. 2020-136 authorizing the City Manager to execute and Interlocal Agreement with Dallas County for Public Health Services.
