Presentation of a five (5) year service pin to Sherrelle Evans-Jones for her service to the City of Farmers Branch

BACKGROUND:
This service award is provided to Sherrelle Evans-Jones for five years of service to the City of Farmers Branch. Sherrelle began her career with the City in September of 2016 as the Director of Finance coming to the City with extensive experience and increased responsibility serving previously as the Chief Financial Officer of Klyde Warren Park.
Sherrelle currently manages the Finance Department, with oversight of all financial operations of the City. This includes Municipal Court, Purchasing, Accounting and Utility Billing. She performs her job at a high level and ensures all the City’s financial assets are safeguarded.
Sherrelle has accomplished:
o Completion of the year-long Phase 1 of the City’s conversion of its financial system to the Tyler Technologies ERP system. Phase 1 completed in Feb 2019. [Phase 4 is slated to Go Live in February 2022.]
o Sherrelle and her team did the system implementation while completing all required financial audits and budgeting processes.
o Sherrelle has had Five years of successful budget adoptions and audited financial statements with recognition each year from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States & Canada.
o Her biggest accomplishment is managing and building an amazing team - all with unique needs and skillsets - and keeping everyone moving towards a common goal. All while keeping a smile on her face!
